There are two initiatives to rebate homeowners and businesses who install a Low Flow Toilet. The first is a $100 Rebate in partnership with Veoilia Water, a environmental services company. In partnership with the City, Veolia Water is providing a $100 rebate to residents and business who install a low flow toilet that uses no more than 1.6 gallons of water per flush. There is an annual funding limit, which has been exhausted for 2015.
The second program is a program for low income residents. To qualify, the homeowner must reside in Palm Springs and have liquid assets less than $9,000 with a household income less than $44,400 for a family of 4. Only one low flush toilet per household can qualify under this program.
KC’s Plumbing offers low flow toilets from Niagara Conservation which use as low as 0.8 gallons per flush – well under the limit for both programs. Besides saving water, if you qualify for either program, you can save on upgrading the most used toilets in your house to use less water. Promote sustainable living, cut your water bill, and help the California Drought by taking advantage of these programs.
